We have also made aggressive external investments so that we can provide better services to our customers, and have reshuffled our sales team into a direct sales unit and agency sales unit in order to execute better results. Moreover, from February 2005 we opened the ¡®Daewoo Human Leadership Center¡¯ to foster greater leadership skills throughout the organization. We are making great efforts to satisfy our customers through differentiated services with an innovative mind-set reflected through our employees.



An apartment brand known for uncompromising quality, ¡®iaan¡¯ represents 4 key concepts: Interiors, Advance, Assurance and Mobility. The ¡®iaan¡¯ apartments target households seeking a wide range of better than average living amenities; they are comfortable apartments designed to be a refuge from the busy lifestyles of Koreans. Introduced a bit late compared to its competitors (2003), ¡®iaan¡¯ is now one of the most recognized brands among Korean household. The ¡®iaan¡¯ won the 2005 ¡®Hankyung Housing Culture¡¯ award, a testament to its distinguished reputation among customers. The ¡®iaan¡¯ name continues to represent fresh housing environments, and a valuable investment among the minds of consumers.



A more luxurious brand of housing, named ¡®Exordium¡¯ was launched. Exordium is a premium-quality housing commercial complex. Exordium means ¡®the beginning and origin of the object¡¯. Simply put, it is high-quality lifestyle housing geared to higher income households with discerning tastes. The Exordium brand builds on our past success in this market and meets the needs of well-heeled household seeking superior housing. The company successfully supplied ¡®iaan Haewoondae Exordium¡¯ last year (located in Busan). The company will soon start 506 units of ¡®iaan Taewha River Exordium¡¯ project, a 54 story (201m) complex in Ulsan. We will focus on premium-quality housing commercial complex projects with strengthening the brand value.



Last year, we entered into financing business through acquiring Woori Capital, a reputable financial institution in Daegu. This will bolster our financing unit by allowing us to provide more diverse financial services to customers who buy cars through installments, leases and rentals. Adding more clout to our financing division will better enable us to cross-sell services and to provide attractive financing terms to key customers. More financing options under our control will spur our cars sales and profitability. Woori Capital initially handled KRW30 billion in annual transactions, which soon jumped to KRW153 billion. In 2006, we expect the transaction to record over KRW500 billion in transactions.
